完型填空作為一項綜合考察考生語言基本功的一類題目，在各類考試中（中考，高考，四六級，雅思）等考試中屢見不鮮。細分一下，大致可分為選擇類，和非選擇類（首字母填空，直接填詞）兩種。但從總體情況來看，卻不盡人如意——特別在中高考重要考試中。筆者曾問過很多學生，他們說，完型難啊，讀了半天不知道講啥；而且有時候讀懂了，卻選不對；有時候一道題目不確定，就會導致幾道題目連環出錯。
針對種種情況，筆者潛心研究， 發現完形相對于單獨以單句出現的語法，詞匯題目，重點放在了語法詞匯，在篇章中的理解與運用，還重點考察了考生是否對文章的行文思路，邏輯的把握。
解題思路和出題特點：
1 迅速略讀全文，大致了解文章主題。
2 閱讀每一段，試圖理解每段的中心意思，找出主題句和支持句。包括段落的發展情況。例子與例子之間的關系，例如是層層深入， 還是利用反證，或者是兩個例子之間是平行的關系。
同時請一定記得例子一定是位主題句服務的，圍繞主題句展開的。
除了比較段落內部關系，請別忽視段落與段落之間的聯系，平行，因果， 層層深入？ 還是按照時間，空間發展的？
3 做題時，不要盲目， 請瞻前顧后，適當把視野拉寬，請相信，中高考是信度，效度，極高的題目，答案唯一性，不會出現模棱兩可的答案。 That is to say, 答案周圍一定有充分的信號句或者短語提示我們選對答案。
幾個小Tips: 若段落首句設句，并且是主題句的話，請關注后續的2句或者后面的舉例情況。若仍不能找到答案，請關注下段首句，往往下個段落或者再下個段落首句會給出答案。
若某個空格一時無法確定，請不要盲目直接去填，

Most American schools have accepted what is inevitable and 63 modem languages, even Spanish, from the curriculum. Perhaps it is time for Britain to do the same, and stop 64 resources on a subject which few pupils want or need.

56 是首段未句，還記得我剛才說得話嗎？每一段是圍繞一個中心意思展開的，首句的核心意思是the almost complete failure of foreign-language teaching.，空格處是還有幾個XXXX，應該也是failure或者failure 的近義詞，選項Ａerror 正好符合此意，選上。如果不確定，請重讀several, 下段首句the first is ,再下段首句，出現了 another important error…更加確定就是error .
